Speaking of football...

...and you were talking about football, right?...

My new Weekly NFL Picks site is up, 2 weeks ahead of schedule. (!) Depending on injuries or other...stuff, I might have to change a few of these Week 1 picks. This is always the hardest week to pick 'em for obvious reasons. The predictions will show up every Wednesday during the NFL season. Actual scores will show up when all the games are done, and starting with week 2, accuracy stats will be posted conspicuously. If I don't pick 'em well, it could be embarrassing. But I will. Pick 'em well. Enjoy.

Exhibit A
Emilia

My sister Lee and her husband Ted are in town from San Diego to introduce Exhibit A and spend some time with the F unit. Looking around our house, Ted tells me and Nik that in their neighborhood in San Diego, it would be worth 6 times its value in Rochester. I knew it would be significantly more, but *six times*...

Crazy.

Nik has been mildly pissed at me this week for a series of little things not worth mentioning. I think I'll post this image as a reminder of my week in the doghouse.

Finally, in the continuing saga of CNN's obsession with the irrelevant: This story was passed over, while this one was deemed important.

Another fantastic happening that CNN ignored:

Toronto can now cool it's buildings with vitually zero emissions!Sickening what some mongoloids consider news. Especially those at CNN.

Todd and Brandon,

Can't you plainly see that those stories have nothing to do with the USA? Paris Hilton, an AMERICAN for goodness sakes, lost her dog!!!! Now the dog's back!!

"Events" happening on Mars or, even farther away, Toronto, are irrelevant to the average enlightened American. (which I wholeheartedly certainly am!!! - winks to the Patriot Act police...).

Also in my head at the moment: has anyone noticed that as of Thursday night, the only anthem played during the whole Olympics has been the SSB? I think I've watched 4,532 strait hours of coverage and there have been exactly 22 gold medal ceremonies and the US has won them all!! That's amazing! Apparently when other countries win, they don't get a ceremony!!

Also, also - while I agree that the US athletes should respect other countries and realize that we are one nation in 250+, I do not agree with the USOC's decision to send that wussy/chimy/xlyphone rendition of the SSB being used in the ceremonies. Where are the horns? Where's the power?

Dave-

You're wondering where the horns are. We're under a conservative administration. Therefore, we're not supposed to be horny.
